Pondapple Maintenance Association
Unofficial Monthly Board Meeting Notes
January 4, 2005
-
Brian & Donna of South Florida Services attended the meeting again
this month, and were told to continue their work in common areas only --
not homeowner yards, until we have approval for payment of 50% of costs
and signed agreement from homeowner. They were complimented on their
trimming in the park, but there was discussion of stump removal.
It was also decided that we needed a new walk-through to determine
which trees must be cut down and removed. Brian will contact Norton,
David and Martine for walk-through time.
-
A discussion of a street/water drainage problem in front of a home
followed, the upshot of which was that the original master and local
developer's plans dictated the general drainage patterns and specific
streets and swales, so any attempt at correction of a defect on a
particular property is the homeowner's responsibility, for example
the construction of a french drain near the trouble spot. Besides,
even if the neighborhood as a whole wanted to make changes to the existing
roads, there isn't the funding to do so.
-
This led inevitably to a discussion on whether we need to increase the
monthly fee from $118 to $150 or even $200 per month, to meet growing
needs and expense within community. Tabled until next month's
meeting.
-
A homeowner requested repayment of funds he paid for the cutting down of
a tree on his property following the hurricanes. He will present a bill
from the company he hired.
