Pondapple Maintenance Association
Unofficial Monthly Board Meeting Notes
March 9, 2006
-
We are in process of negotiating a
settlement with Benchmark for the money they owe us.
-
JKA has been doing lots of repairs to the sprinkler system, submitting
bills, but grass is dying!. JKA is checking lines to get
the sprinklers back in order. Landscapers applied liquid weed killer
Mar. 7.
-
Seven workers removed 38,000 lbs (5 truckloads) of debris from center
section, mostly roots and stumps, to prepare for our new trees.
This work added to the cost of the center island makeover, bringing it
now to approximately $20,000. But it allows the new palms to be rooted
properly, about 5 feet deep. We will put in some mulch
along the sides; with the Ficus starting to grow new leaves, plus the
existing roots, little else can be planted other than ground cover.
-
Zepco Fence will install a replacement park fence, costing about $6500.
-
Certain residents have roofs badly in need of repair;
one home has screen hanging down and weeds all around; another has
replacement fencing which was installed improperly; these matters
need to be taken care of. City of Boca Code Enforcement will "help out"
here, issuing citations for neglect of property.
In particular, Code Enforcement will be citing
homeowners with pools for which the fences are missing. Pools must be
fenced permanently, and even enclosed with temporary fencing while
repairs are pending, to avoid a hazard to children.
-
Some damaged walkways will be patched soon.
