Pondapple Maintenance Association
Unofficial Monthly Board Meeting Notes
September 15, 2008
This is the first official board meeting in 6 months. Day-to-day business has been handled
on an as-needed basis. (Board members continue to see each other
frequently, and Frank continues to work
for us in the neighborhood.)
-
Finances: Accounts Payable are up-to-date, and we continue to
spend money reducing the final outstanding bill from last hurricane. Reserves
continue to be stable, because outflows approximate income.
-
Florida Coast Services has advised us that our trees need a significant
trim. We will get bids.
-
Per homeowners' requests, streetlights have been re-lamped,
but still one or two may need additional attention.
-
The front entrance landscaping needs its annual refreshing. We will
get quote. Also some landscape debris and "split-completion" work have
been left by our contractor; we will discuss what amount to
timing issues with them.
-
Making us a gated community was briefly discussed, and site conditions,
working with Hackberry homeowners, and resident agreement to assessment
were cited as principal impediments to further consideration for now.
-
Homeowner garage sales, "landscape appliances", and payment arrears were
discussed. No action needed today. Arrearage will accumulate interest
at the maximum permitted rate.
-
The official designation of guest parking spaces in the cul-de-sac is
not an option for us, as fire officials require a full turn-around in
case of emergency.
